At a birthday celebration on sat march 28,2009 just off of Blue Hill Ave near Mattapan, 23-year-old Kerby Revelus fatally stabbed his 17-year-old sister Samantha and then his 5-year-old sister Bianca. Reports say that the police arrived to Kerby decapitating his 5-year-old sister and then brutally attacking his 9-year-old sister Sarafina. Kerby was shot dead during his assault on his 9-year-old sister who underwent surgery today and is expected to survive. There is NO FUCKING EXCUSE for this kind of violence. Even though police have no clue to why Kerby attacked I don’t think that any argument, fight, scuffle etc. warranted this kind of brutality. I don’t give a fuck what those girls did to Kerby, they did not deserve to go out like that.I have to ask myself what kind of monster could do such a thing, and then i think of how death was way to good for such an evil person. God bless this family to have to go through such a tragedy, I could only image the hurt of losing 1 child let alone 3…my heart goes out to this family and the community they live in.  Also to the police officers that had to witness such a tragic moment and still do their jobs. My heart goes out to you all.

  1. So sad, as a WHITE mother that lived in Mattapan for many years I am so sad about this news. Does not matter what race the crime is horrific. Mattapan and Milton are both great places! This man was crazy. My heart goes out to the family

  2. do not fuckign call him a monster, kiryb was a great person. i knew him for 7 years, and he would never do such a thing. maybe if his family recognized that he was losing his mind and did something abotu it this wouldtn have happened

    • with all do respect julie anyone that can decapitate a 5 year old girl will go down as a “MONSTER” in my book. how can you blame his family for his actions? that level of brutality is in-excusable under any physical or mental illness.hands down.

    • bitch are you as crazy as he was? you need serious help for saying what you just said. i’m glad the fucker is dead and if you sympathize with someone who could do that to a child the you have the same evil potential and you need to die too.

  3. That man was possed by the devil. No one in they right mind would do something like that.

  4. So this is the azzhole? SMDH!

On another note, nice place ya got here. Mind if I crash here from time to time?

  5. …definitely can appreciate the support and concern for everyone impacted by the savagery of this act, but this is an opportunity to understand how mental illness can manifest into horrible, unthinkable acts that leave us all in shock and mourning such great loss. No normal individulal commits these types of acts. If Kerby would have survivied, I am certain that he would have been diagnosed with a mental disorder that very well could have been managed with medication. It is unfortunate that his illness was not recognized and treated.

    • definately. im not at all closed minded to the fact of mental illness. I work as a mental health counselor and i understand that no individual in his right mind would commit such a brutal crime. but the problem with mental illness is that their is no mandatory medication or counseling unless the person is willing to seek help or untill they have committed some kind of crime to deem them unsafe to society. mental illness is one the most serious yet under-funded illnesses in america that the U.S. government continues to make budget cuts on. Basically the U.S. government has determined that it would be easier and less costly to”lock up”the mentally ill rather than fund programs that can detect mental illness and provide help and support for the affected. its very sad actually, almost $10 million was cut from state mental facilities in MA in the last fiscal year alone.the problem with this case is that kerby was a grown man and he was the only one that could determine that he needed help. others might have saw him losing his mind but kerby, being 23, was himself responsible for getting the help that he needed. Think about some one telling you that your sick and need help and see how well you recieve it…. its a very difficult situation because 98% of the time you will get “no I’m not, im fine” until something like this happens….

  6. great point xxonnoxx… no “normal” person could commit such acts… I hope that this will shed light on how mental illness needs to be addressed, not swept under the rug and ignored. It is slowly, but surely rearing it’s ugly head in countless headlines in the form of such unthinkable acts like this one.

    • yes indeed. i do hope that this will give more attention to the mental health field and how grossly under-funded state and private facilities really are…BTW i just want to let you all know i appreciate all of your comments and opinions. your always welcome to speak your mind here

  7. he had trouble with the law before, but there is no mention of what the family thought… did they think he was unstable? or was he just another angry youth. It is a tragic story, i feel so bad for the 9 year old who survived. I hope she get the love and guidance that she needs.

  8. Thats a good point Debbie. I hope that after such a tragedy that the family can focus on what they still have rather than what was lost…. its very sad from all aspects
